LIFE-SHAPING DECISIONS often involve moving from one world to another. Such is the case with E. Robert Kendziorski. He retains fond and vivid memories of growing up in humble circumstances in a small Midwestern town, part of a loving family that embraced nine boys and one girl. "From early childhood, my parents instilled in me the importance of integrity, hard work and sensitivity to the needs of others," Robert says. Before graduating from high school, he considered colleges near home and out of state. Robert settled on USC, one of the most respected universities in America. That decision changed his life.

"I'd never been to Southern California before, so when I moved west it was a whole new world for me," he recalls. "Every day was exciting, and weekends were nonstop adventures."
On to Orange County and UCI
Robert focused on business administration at USC, graduating in the early '80s. Then he moved to Orange County and, for the next 10 years or so, filled increasingly responsible production-management posts for various manufacturing operations. During that time—inspired by his inherited work ethic and committed to self-improvement—Robert also entered UCI's prestigious School of Business and earned an MBA degree.
As for the area he now calls home, Robert says, "I've been fortunate enough to see many parts of the world and I can honestly say that none of them surpasses Orange Count for sheer beauty, variety and opportunity as well as really intriguing people."
Natural Segue to Real Estate
Armed with undergraduate and graduate business degrees, high-level management credentials, plus years of buying and selling his own homes and rental properties,
Robert segued to residential real estate in the early '90s. He soon won accolades as his brokerage's Rookie of the Year. Since then, Robert has closed more than 1,300 transactions. And so it's no surprise that he's a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and a recipient of the company's Lifetime Achievement Award.
What's the secret of Robert's success? For one thing, he loves the industry.
"It's never seemed like work to me," he declares, "though I really do spend
significant time and energy helping my clients." Ultimately it comes down to
"the perfect blend": the combination of Midwestern values—work ethic, integrity
and concern for others; and Southern California savvy - an enriching education, extensive management and real estate experience, and more than a quarter century of living the good life in this beautiful area. He's shared much of that time with his lovely wife, Annette, who's also a
real estate professional.
Customized Plan of Action
Robert launches each transaction by conducting an in-person conversation to cover the basics. Then, based on that crucial input, he creates a customized plan of action for the home sale or purchase. Sellers value his sophisticated marketing strategies, timely updates and proven negotiating skills. Buyers trust him to alert them to Orange County properties he feels will be ideal for them—including distinctive luxury homes. USC and UCI alumni gain a significant advantage by tapping into a pool of shared experience and loyalty. And all of Robert's clients benefit from his unique blend of Midwestern values and Southern California savvy.
